Selling Mailboxes in Višegrad: Fake Postmen Also Tricked Bakira Hasečić

One of those deceived by unknown individuals who are falsely presenting themselves as employees of „Pošta“ in the Višegrad area, offering mailboxes to citizens under threat that they must buy them, otherwise mail will not be delivered to their home address, is also Bakira Hasečić, president of the Association „Woman-Victim of War“, writes the news agency Patria.

-After attending the commemoration of 23 years since the war crime in Sjeverin (Priboj), I stopped by my house in the Kosovo Polje settlement in Višegrad on October 22. In the yard of the house, I found two men at the door who told me "I have to buy a mailbox". Without checking the truthfulness, I bought the mailbox, and they even issued me a receipt that I paid for it, says Bakira Hasečić for Patria.

Hasečić says that only when she saw the warning issued by „Pošte Srpske“ did she realize that she too had been deceived.

From this company, they informed all users that mailboxes can be ordered from postmen or purchased at the nearest post office, and that employees do not carry mailboxes in the field.

-We appeal to citizens to contact this company in case of any ambiguities and report the fraud to public security centers.

Given that this fraud is frequent in the entire area of the Republika Srpska, the company notes that, although they are not the injured party, they will report these cases to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Srpska.

-Recently, the same thing happened in the areas of Semberija and East Sarajevo, so it is very important to inform the public about this case, the statement says.
