Pressure from businessmen yields results in RS, electricity price increase limited

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Elektroprivreda RS has accepted the demands of businessmen that the price of electricity for all industrial consumers be 53 euros per megawatt-hour.

After yesterday's talks with the Minister of Energy and the minister's further consultations, the Government of RS accepted the proposal of the Chamber of Commerce of RS that all businessmen, including those engaged in trade and tourism, be charged 53 euros per megawatt-hour for electricity.

Goran Račić, president of the Chamber of Commerce of RS, confirmed this for BN.

Industry in Republika Srpska currently pays 39 euros per megawatt-hour.

The management of Elektroprivreda will announce the new price list at today's session.
