DKPT Officer Miloš Nikolić Pleads Guilty to Drug Trafficking, Sentenced to 3.5 Years in Prison

(Patria) - The accused Nikolić Miloš (1995), employed as a police officer in the DKPT BiH, in the presence of his lawyer, fully admitted guilt for a criminal offense with corrupt elements, for which he was indicted by the BiH Prosecutor's Office, which charges him with the criminal offense of association for the purpose of committing criminal offenses under Article 249, Paragraph 1, in conjunction with unauthorized trafficking of narcotic drugs under Article 195 of the Criminal Code of BiH.

By the aforementioned indictment, Miloš Nikolić is accused of associating a group of people for the unauthorized international sale of narcotic drugs, and of unauthorizedly conducting international sales and offering for sale substances that are legally declared narcotic drugs. A unified prison sentence of 3 years and six months has been agreed upon, as well as the measure of confiscation of items used for the commission of criminal offenses (narcotic drugs and a mobile phone). Through the concluded agreement, the accused has committed to returning illicit property gains in the amount of approximately 12,000 KM.

The proposed sentence is in accordance with the accused's role and responsibility in the commission of the criminal offense described in the indictment, taking into account the fact that the accused was a police officer at the time of the commission of the criminal offense. The process of his removal from police structures will be carried out in accordance with the law, in proceedings to be conducted within the DKPT BiH, where the accused is currently suspended. By signing the plea agreement, the accused waives his right to a trial and the right to appeal the verdict that the BiH Court will pronounce based on the agreement.

The aforementioned agreement was accepted by the BiH Court on 04/25/2023.
