GSS Konjic members successfully carried out a rescue operation of an injured person in Bradina

A traffic accident occurred on the M-17 highway between Sarajevo and Konjic last night, writes Patria agency.

A car in Bradina, near the Zukići tunnel, broke through the protective fence and landed in the Trešanica River.

There were three people in the car; two left the vehicle immediately, while the third was rescued by members of GSS Konjic.

- The Konjic station received a report that a vehicle had gone off the road in the Bradina area, specifically on the bridge before the tunnel. Members of the Konjic station immediately proceeded to the scene of the accident where they found PU KONJIC, emergency medical services, and PVJ Konjic. Due to suspected spinal injury, after providing first aid to the injured person, we proceeded with their extraction, which, due to the nature of the injury, required a vertical extraction technique with UT2000 onto the bridge. We thank everyone who helped and wish the injured person a speedy recovery – stated GSS Konjic.

PU Konjic confirmed that no one died in the accident. 

- The vehicle was driven by K. A., born in 1997, from Ilidža, who sustained minor injuries. Passengers were K. N., born in 1999, who also sustained minor injuries, while a female, Š. A., born in 1998, from Sarajevo, sustained severe injuries – stated the Operations Center of the MUP HNK.
