BBC reports that Putin has announced a ceasefire in Ukraine, following marathon negotiations. Details of the agreement are not yet known, but according to the BBC, the ceasefire begins on Sunday. Details of the agreement are still expected.
The negotiations, which involved German Chancellor Merkel and French President Hollande in addition to Putin and Poroshenko, lasted more than 17 hours.
- We managed to agree on the most important things - Poroshenko said after the negotiations concluded.
Hollande and Merkel added that they will ask European partners to support the agreement at today's summit.
