Donation of sacrificial meat for the Stari Grad soup kitchen in Semizovac on July 31 and August 1 from 10 AM to 4 PM

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The Stari Grad soup kitchen, due to the situation caused by the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19), will not accept meat at the kitchen premises; all those wishing to donate sacrificial meat can hand over the meat at the butcher shop „Gora“ located in Semizovac (Kamenica b.b. along the M18 main road).

"Our staff will collect the meat at the aforementioned butcher shop and, in accordance with the orders of the Cantonal Administration for Inspection Affairs and the Veterinary Inspection Inspectorate, will immediately store the meat in refrigerated chambers. To make it easier for people to find us, our easily recognizable vehicle will be parked next to the main road," explained Zilha Šeta, manager of the „Stari Grad“ soup kitchen.

We remind our fellow citizens who wish to donate sacrificial meat that they can do so only with a submitted certificate of the animal's health status (Form A-1), which must be provided by the sellers of the sacrificial animals. Sacrificial meat can be donated on the first two days of Eid al-Adha (Friday, July 31 and Saturday, August 1, 2020) between 10 AM and 4 PM. The collected sacrificial meat will be properly stored and used long-term for preparing higher quality meals at this public kitchen.

Distribution of meat to beneficiaries

The management of the „Stari Grad“ soup kitchen informs its beneficiaries that the distribution of sacrificial meat during the upcoming Eid al-Adha will be organized according to the following schedule. Beneficiaries coming from the municipality of Stari Grad will receive sacrificial meat on the first day of Eid al-Adha, Friday, July 31, 2020, between 11 AM and 4 PM in front of the „Stari Grad“ soup kitchen at Halači 6 Street. On the same day, July 31, for beneficiaries who pick up their hot meals at the kitchen point in Tarčin, the distribution of sacrificial meat for them will be organized starting at 10 AM. Beneficiaries of the „Stari Grad“ soup kitchen coming from the municipalities of Centar and Novo Sarajevo will receive their portion of sacrificial meat on the second day of Eid al-Adha, Saturday, August 1, 2020, between 11 AM and 4 PM, also in front of the soup kitchen.
