Proposal on salaries in BiH institutions removed from agenda

The session of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina has begun in the Parliament building, reports the Patria news agency. Šefik Džaferović, the Chairman of the House of Representatives, stated at the very beginning that various commission sessions had been held, and he said that the Proposal for a Law on Amendments to the Law on Salaries and Allowances in the Institutions of BiH, proposed by MP Damir Arnaut (SBB), had been removed from the agenda.

Earlier, the Finance and Budget Commission forwarded it to the Council of Ministers to submit its opinion on this Proposal within 15 days.

During the discussion on the agenda, Denis Bećirović (SDP) said that the silence regarding the Resolution on Srebrenica, which the United Nations is preparing, is unacceptable.

- I request that the House of Representatives show understanding towards the United Kingdom and Ireland with the aim of adopting the Resolution on the genocide in Srebrenica. I propose that the House of Representatives conclude that it considers the recognition of genocide as a foundation for reconciliation in BiH, as well as in the region. I also propose that those who support today's conclusions sign them and send them to the UN and other countries making efforts to adopt this Resolution - said Bećirović.

Nikola Špirić (SNSD) said that good neighborly relations should not be disrupted.

- Respecting all victims, I fear that we might overheat the pot. I fear that such discussions will not contribute to the progress of the population - emphasized Špirić.

Staša Košarac (SNSD) stated that today he will again seek the dismissal of Džaferović from the position of Chairman of this House.
