Beards shaved before leaving for Syria

In the continuation of the "Damascus" operation, six people were arrested for terrorism, and one of them is Nevad Hušidić from Velika Kladuša, born in 1986, writes the BH News Agency Patria. He was arrested by SIPA members at Sarajevo International Airport where he intended to board a flight to Istanbul, and then go to the territory of the Islamic State in Syria. Merim Keserović, born in 1996, was also arrested at the airport.

Hušidić had been posting religious statuses on his Facebook profile for days, and on February 6th, he posted photos without a beard, on February 7th, a black flag and a grey tunic. With a photo posted on February 15th, showing his sister with a child, he wrote "my sister with her Taliban".

Also, photos from two years ago show that Nevad lived a different life. They show him, with glasses of beer in front of him, and pictures of him embracing girls in a cafe. However, his transformation followed.

E. T. (1964) was arrested in the Sarajevo area, while this morning in the Maglaj and Bužim areas, persons identified as A.I. (1992), H.E. (1981), and R.I. (1953) were deprived of their liberty.

These individuals are suspected of committing criminal offenses of financing terrorist activities, public incitement to terrorist activities, recruitment for terrorist activities, organizing a terrorist group, all in connection with the criminal offense of terrorism, as well as the criminal offense of illegally forming and joining foreign paramilitary or paramilitary formations, SIPA announced.
