Indirect tax revenues up by 59 million KM

(Patria) - Indirect tax revenues in the first three months of 2020 amounted to 1 billion and 882 million KM, an increase of 59 million KM or 3.24% compared to the same period in 2019 when
revenues were 1 billion and 823 million KM. In March 2020 alone, the Indirect Taxation Authority (UIO) collected 652 million KM in indirect taxes, which is 23 million KM more than in March 2019.

After the UIO refunded VAT to all taxpayers who were entitled to a refund in the first three months of 2020, in the total amount of 337 million KM, net collected revenues distributed to beneficiaries, namely the state, entities, and Brčko District, amounted to 1 billion and 545 million KM, an increase of 73 million KM compared to the revenues received by beneficiaries from the Single Account in the same period of 2019.

REVENUE DISTRIBUTION FOR THE PERIOD JANUARY-MARCH 2020

An amount of 182 million KM was allocated for the financing of state institutions in the first three months of 2020. State institutions receive the same amount of indirect tax revenue each year, and the surplus revenue went to the entities and Brčko District. Thus, in the first three months of 2020, a total of 866 million KM was allocated to the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, 442 million KM to Republika Srpska, and 48 million KM to Brčko District.

Based on the special toll for highway construction and the construction and reconstruction of other roads (0.25 KM), the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina received an additional 49 million KM, Republika Srpska 32.4 million KM, and Brčko District 1.7 million KM. The difference represents a reserve in a special toll account of 0.25 KM.
