Join the "No Child Without a Gift" campaign

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Volunteers of the humanitarian organization “Ruku na srce” are once again opening Santa's workshop and inviting students, schoolchildren, fellow citizens, and representatives of companies, associations, and sports clubs to join them, as together they will try to bring out as many children's smiles as possible and ensure that no child is left without a gift.

“No Child Without a Gift” is a humanitarian project within which the Association “Ruku na srce” strives to provide New Year's gifts for children from socially vulnerable families. Last winter, as part of the project, as many as 2000 gifts were distributed to schoolchildren and preschoolers from the Sarajevo Canton, as well as the entire Bosnia and Herzegovina. This is the result of the exceptional effort and work of all the Association's volunteers, and the selfless support of numerous donors.

“We believe that the trust that fellow citizens have placed in us for years will not be absent this time either. Everyone who wants to be a part of this winter magic can donate toys (not necessarily new, but important that they are well-preserved), sweets, school supplies, or money. They can also make a gift themselves and brighten the beginning of the New Year for children whose parents cannot provide these small joys,” said Najla Hrustan, president of the Association.

This year, gifts will be distributed along with a New Year's play directed by the Association's volunteers, featuring many fairy tale heroes brought to life alongside Santa Claus. Children will also have the opportunity to participate in creative workshops, which are carefully prepared for them every year.

Donations can be delivered to several points this year. Every day from 09:30 to 22:00 at the Hub Homework premises (Kolodvorska Street 12), on weekdays from 17:00 to 17:30 at the Fly Yoga Sarajevo premises (Behdžeta Mutevelića up to number 5), and on Saturdays from 10:00 to 12:00 at the Center “Ruku na srce” in Dobrinja (Esada Pašalića Street 8).
