Eight people were killed, and at least 44 injured on Saturday when a bus overturned in southern Texas, local media reported, according to the Patria news agency.
The local newspaper Laredo Morning Times reported that the driver lost control of the vehicle and skidded off the highway about 70 km from the town of Laredo, which lies on the Rio Grande River at the Mexican border. The reason for the driver's error is unknown.
Seven people died at the scene, while the eighth passenger died in a nearby hospital, Index reports.
