SIPA searches in connection with the 'Memić' case

SARAJevo, (Patria) - On the order of a prosecutor from the BiH Prosecutor's Office, police officers of the State Investigation and Protection Agency - SIPA, are conducting searches at two locations in the Sarajevo Canton area with the aim of collecting evidence.

The activities are being carried out within the framework of a case that the BiH Prosecutor's Office has been working on for a longer period, and it relates to organized crime offenses, in connection with obstructing the investigation and concealing evidence about the death of Dženan Memić, in February 2016.

One of the persons whose premises are being searched is an official in the institutions of Sarajevo Canton. 

In the interest of the investigation, the BiH Prosecutor's Office cannot provide the public with more details or information.

As Patria learns, the search is being conducted at the house of Zijad Mutap, the father of Alisa Mutap, who was with Dženan Memić on the night of February 8, 2016, when he sustained injuries from which he died on February 15. The search is also being conducted at the house of Hasan Dupovac, an employee of the Police Administration of the MUP KS. In 2016, Dupovac was the head of the Traffic Department of the MUP KS.
