
(Patria) - Police officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MUP) of Republika Srpska are carrying out an operational action "Firma" in which seven people were arrested in the area of the Bijeljina Police Administration.
The MUP of Republika Srpska stated in a press release that searches are underway at more than 20 locations.
"The arrested persons are charged with having committed the criminal offenses of 'Associating for the Purpose of Committing Criminal Offenses', 'Money Laundering', 'Arson', 'Causing General Danger', 'Damage and Deprivation of Another's Property', and 'Illegal Production and Trafficking of Weapons'," the statement reads.
The action, it adds, involves members of the Administration for Organized and Serious Crime, the Criminal Police Administration, and the Bijeljina Police Administration, in cooperation with the Special Anti-Terrorist Unit, the Gendarmerie, and the Police Support Administration.
"All activities are undertaken by orders of the Basic Court of Bijeljina, under the supervision and in coordination with the District Public Prosecutor's Office of Bijeljina," the statement adds.
