RAIDS AT SEVERAL LOCATIONS, SIPA AND SLOVENIAN POLICE IN JOINT ACTION AGAINST MONEY LAUNDERING, RS MUP ALSO ASSISTING

(Patria) - Police officers of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA), within the case codenamed "MAT", today, 17.06.2025, are carrying out operational activities in accordance with the requirements of the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the orders of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The activities include searches of premises and temporary seizure of items related to four individuals and three legal entities, at a total of six locations in the areas of Banja Luka and Kostajnica.

The operation is being conducted in coordination with the Special State Prosecutor's Office and the Police of the Republic of Slovenia, which are simultaneously carrying out activities on the territory of Slovenia.

These activities are the result of the work of a joint investigation team consisting of SIPA, the Prosecutor's Office of BiH, the Special State Prosecutor's Office, and the Slovenian Police. During the investigation, in accordance with the Criminal Code of BiH, the Law on Criminal Procedure of BiH, and the Law on Prevention of Money Laundering and Financing of Terrorist Activities of BiH, a series of operational measures and actions were taken to document the grounds for suspicion of committing the criminal offenses of "Organized Crime" (Article 250 of the Criminal Code of BiH), in connection with "Money Laundering" (Article 209 of the Criminal Code of BiH).

According to the collected information, the aforementioned criminal offenses were committed to the detriment of legal entities from the Republic of Slovenia in the amount of approximately 5 million KM.

The aforementioned searches are being carried out with the assistance of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republika Srpska.

Upon completion of today's operational activities, the public will be informed in a timely manner about the results, it was announced from SIPA.
