Search of Jerko Ivanković Lijanović's home and NSRzB premises, arrests of officials in Tuzla

Members of the FUP arrived this morning at the family home of the former Minister of Agriculture, Water Management and Forestry of the FBiH and Vice President of the NSRzB, Jerko Ivanković Lijanović, accompanied by officers from the Široki Brijeg Police Station, confirmed for the Patria agency.

A search was also conducted of the NSRzB premises in Široki Brijeg, which Ivanković Lijanović attended.

Also, at the same time, arrests are underway in the Tuzla Canton with the assistance of members of the Federal Police Administration, and one of those arrested is a deputy in the Assembly of the Tuzla Canton, Mersed Šerifović, who is also Vice President of the NSRzB. The party premises as well as the premises of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Tuzla Canton were searched. The Minister of Transport and Communications of the Tuzla Canton, Edin Ajanović, was also arrested in the operation.

Lijanović will be transferred from Široki Brijeg to Tuzla, where he should be questioned regarding the disputed allocation of agricultural subsidies in the amount of several million in the Tuzla Canton.

We recall, Lijanović was arrested in the SIPA operation "Meso" on September 10, 2014, one of the largest in the fight against organized crime and multi-million tax evasion, the BiH Prosecutor's Office announced at the time.

Incidentally, at a press conference held on September 19 in Tuzla, Ivanković Lijanović announced such a scenario.
