Verdict in Memić case next week, family says they will continue fighting for the truth

(Patria) – The court proceedings in the case of Zijad Mutap and others, related to the concealment of the cause of Dženan Memić's death, giving false testimony, and fabricating evidence, concluded today at the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The defense teams of the accused Hasan Dupovac, Josip Barić, and Muamer Ožegović presented their closing arguments today, and the verdict in this case will be delivered next week.

After leaving the Court of BiH building, Muriz Memić, the father of the murdered young man Dženan Memić, told reporters that his child was murdered and that an investigation into the murder is underway.

“I believe that the Prosecutor's Office of BiH has proven everything. The defense is twisting everything. I am ready to accept whatever the verdict is, but we are moving forward. A new procedure is starting, and I will be in court again,” said Memić.

He stated that he does not know the current stage of the new murder investigation being conducted by the Prosecutor's Office of BiH.

The sister of the murdered young man, Arijana Memić, in an emotional address, thanked the media for following their struggle for years.

“We want to believe that justice will prevail. I call on all citizens to support us next Thursday when the verdict is announced,” said Memić.
