Verdict: Šemsudin Mehmedović did not hide weapons!

MP in the BiH PA, Šemsudin Mehmedović won verdicts against Muharem Ahmić and Haris Sejdić for stating and disseminating untrue facts, i.e. for slander. Mehmedović was represented by lawyer Nermin Vila, it was announced, reports the BiH news agency Patria.

- The aforementioned duo received verdicts for stating untrue claims through "Dnevni avaz" and "Slobodna Bosna", and for an obvious negative campaign aimed at discrediting and damaging the political reputation of MP Mehmedović. The mentioned duo called Mehmedović "autocrat, despot" and other derogatory names in the media. They accused him of hiding huge quantities of weapons during the war, linking him to terrorist and other activities, with the aim of provoking public condemnation and damaging the moral, political dignity, not only of him as a person but also as a long-time politician and MP - it was announced.

Ahmić and Sejdić are obliged to compensate the damage financially and to issue a public apology in the media where they disseminated the aforementioned untruths.

Mehmedović stated that he is satisfied with the verdicts, and that he hopes they will serve as a positive example to all those who dare to disseminate untruths and lies to the public, regardless of who it concerns, and that there is still a state of law in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

- Justice is slow, but it is available after all - said Mehmedović.
