Duško Dabetić sentenced to 6 years in prison for beating and raping a Bosniak woman in Grbavica

The Cantonal Court in Sarajevo today found Duško Dabetić guilty of the criminal offense of war crimes against the civilian population committed in the area of the Sarajevo neighborhood of Grbavica. He was sentenced in the first instance to a prison term of six years, announced the Prosecutor's Office of the Sarajevo Canton, as reported by the Patria news agency.  
 
Duško Dabetić, according to the indictment of the Prosecutor's Office of the Sarajevo Canton, is charged with psychologically and physically abusing, and then raping a woman of Bosniak nationality in the Sarajevo neighborhood of Grbavica from September 1992 to the beginning of 1993.
 
The indictment in this case was confirmed on September 7, 2015, and the trial began in November of the same year.
