Miro Pecirep from Kiseljak who killed his mother-in-law and seriously wounded his wife has died

(Patria) - Miro Pecirep (1972), who this morning killed his mother-in-law and seriously wounded his wife in the settlement of Jehovac, Kiseljak area, has died at the University Clinical Center Sarajevo (KCUS).

On 18.05.2026, at 07:55, the Kiseljak Police Department received a telephone report from an unknown person stating that a firearm had been discharged in the settlement of Jehovac, municipality of Kiseljak. Police officers from the Kiseljak Police Department were dispatched to the scene, who confirmed the report, i.e., that a firearm had been discharged by M.P., born in 1972, from Kiseljak, against two close family members (female), one of whom died (L.R., born 1947, from Kiseljak), while the other was seriously injured and transferred to the University Clinical Center of Sarajevo (V.P., born 1971, from Kiseljak).

Members of the Special Support Unit of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Central Bosnia Canton/Kanton Sarajevo Travnik, with the assistance of officers from the Intelligence and Security Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina (OSA-e BiH), successfully located and found the said person, and apprehended the perpetrator of the said criminal offense, who was also transferred to the University Clinical Center of Sarajevo after the aforementioned measures.

Under the supervision of the duty prosecutor of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office Travnik, police officers of the Criminal Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Central Bosnia Canton/Kanton Sarajevo are currently conducting investigation measures and actions, as well as other initial investigative actions.
