Another resident of the Tuzla Home for the Elderly dies, autopsy to determine if death is linked to fire

(Patria) - After information appeared in the public that another person had died as a result of the fire at the Home for the Elderly, the Prosecutor's Office of Tuzla Canton (TK) issued a statement.

As they explained, a man who was a resident of the Tuzla Home for the Elderly did die yesterday, but it cannot be stated with certainty that his death occurred as a result of the fire.

- The duty prosecutor today issued an order for the autopsy of the body of the man who died yesterday, which will be performed soon.

The autopsy will determine the exact cause of death, i.e., whether the death of this elderly person is causally related to the fire, about which we will inform the public - said the spokesperson for the TK Prosecutor's Office, Admir Arnautović.

He also stated that all information about the death, its circumstances, and any investigations can only be announced by the competent authorities.

In this regard, citizens are asked to refrain from spreading unverified information while the competent authorities conduct the investigation.

The public will be informed in a timely manner about all autopsy results and any connection of the death to the fire.
