SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Celebrated actor Vlasta Velisavljević passed away today at the "Dragiša Mišović" hospital due to complications from coronavirus, Nova.rs has learned.
According to sources of this media outlet, the actor was hospitalized about ten days ago and was connected to a respirator.
Vlasta had been vaccinated against coronavirus on January 21st this year.
“I opted for the Russian vaccine, but I couldn't receive it. The medical staff told me it cannot be given to those over 76 years old, and I am 94. I told the doctors: ‘I want the Russian one because of the famous Russian writer and doctor Anton Pavlovich Chekhov’. I thought they would understand me, but it seems no one did. I was joking a little. To be honest, I don't care which vaccine it is. It's important for me to protect myself from coronavirus and to be healthy,” he told Nova.rs earlier.
