British actor Albert Finney passes away

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - After a short illness, British actor Albert Finney has passed away at the age of 82.

"Albert Finney passed away at the age of 82 after a short illness with his loved ones by his side. The family requests privacy at this sad time," a family spokesperson told the media. 

Finney began his career in the late fifties as one of the most promising young actors, and over the years became one of the most respected and distinguished British actors on television, film, and theatre.

He will be remembered for numerous roles, especially for his role in the musical "Annie". He also played the famous Hercule Poirot in the cult film "Murder on the Orient Express", and younger generations probably remember him most for his roles in the James Bond film "Skyfall" and the "The Bourne" film series. 

Finney is an award-winning actor, having received an Emmy and a Golden Globe for his acting prowess. He was nominated four times for the prestigious Oscar award for Best Actor, and was nominated for Best Supporting Actor in the film "Erin Brokovich".
