(Patria) - Peruvian Prime Minister Denisse Miralles resigned yesterday, less than a month before general elections scheduled in that country for April 12, announced the cabinet of President José Balcazar.
According to Peruvian law, the resignation of the prime minister, who is the head of the cabinet, also implies that all 18 ministers in the government resign, Reuters reports.
The President of Peru, José Balcazar, now has the option to return each member of the prime minister's cabinet to their post or replace them with a new minister.
Balcazar's office did not state the reason for Prime Minister Miralles' resignation.
