According to foreign media reports: At least 10,000 Syrian refugees to arrive in BiH

As early as this autumn, at least 10,000 Syrian refugees could arrive in Bosnia and Herzegovina from Serbia, foreign media report, as stated by the Patria News Agency.

At the same time, the state Minister of Security, Dragan Mektić, confirmed that there is a possibility of refugees being directed towards our country. A security and humanitarian reception plan was also before the Council of Ministers of BiH.

For refugees from the Middle East, the existing route through Greece, Macedonia, and Serbia towards Hungary is becoming increasingly difficult. As early as autumn, according to the German newspaper Spiegel, a new route should pass through Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, and Slovenia.

The arrival of refugees in BiH is increasingly certain, confirmed the Ministry of Security of BiH.

There are no refugees at our border yet, but the greatest pressure, according to the assessment of security services, is expected at the field centers in Bijeljina and Trebinje. The UNHCR has no information about the potential rerouting. However, they do not rule out the arrival of refugees.

The asylum center in Delijaš, in the municipality of Trnovo, has a maximum of 300 beds for accommodating asylum seekers. However, additional capacities can be provided in relation to potential routes.

It should not be forgotten that the refugees' destination is Western Europe. If they reach BiH, they do not intend to stay. According to their responses, it would be another transit station whose name they do not even know, N1 reports.
