Aid collection for Alen Ćirić halted, operation must be performed in Bosnia and Herzegovina

The wife of seriously ill former football player Alen Ćirić thanked all kind-hearted people who participated in the fundraising campaign for her husband, reports Patria agency.

Ivana Stamatovski Ćirić informed the public that the aid collection campaign for her husband is currently suspended, as a response has been received from a clinic in Munich stating that the operation must be performed in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

- Dear friends, kind people of good will and big hearts. We inform you that for now we are halting the aid collection campaign for our Alen Ćirić. Namely, we have received a response from the clinic in Munich, where their expert team, in consultation with our doctors, has concluded that Alen, in his current condition, cannot and must not be transported. Therefore, an surgical procedure needs to be performed in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which we hope will bring Alen to a stable condition and enable him to travel and continue his treatment.

It is up to us to hope and pray that everything goes according to plan, and that with the help of the funds collected so far, we can provide Alen with a full recovery. Any surplus funds collected will be donated to the address/es where they are most needed, and you will be informed in detail about all of this. We hope and believe that everything will proceed as it should, with God's help and the help of dear people like you.

We remind you that Alen Ćirić (35), a golden student and assistant at the Faculty of Sports and Physical Education, is seriously ill.

Post-operative complications and hydrocephalus have suddenly endangered his health, and Alen had to be urgently relocated to save his life, with the costs of relocation to Munich amounting to 8,500 euros.

However, as Alen's wife informed the public, transport to Munich is not possible due to Alen's health condition.

The hope remains that the procedure can be performed in our country to save Alen Ćirić's life.
