(Patria) - Representatives in the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliament adopted the state budget proposal in the second reading.
Chairman of the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliament Nebojša Radmanović informed the public that the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliament adopted the state budget proposal for this year, with an amendment proposed by representative Jasmin Emrić (A-SDA).
27 representatives voted for the budget, seven abstained, and four voted against.
Emrić's amendment requested that financial resources in the amount of 450,000 KM be allocated in the budget to assist in the fight against the migrant crisis.
"There is a migrant crisis in BiH and that migrations are disrupting economic development in BiH, especially in the Una-Sana Canton. I requested modest funds, the Commission decided that even 450,000 KM is not possible. I don't want to politicize, but I am surprised by such a stance. I requested 450,000 KM to subsidize the costs of accommodating migrants in correctional facilities. Whose problem are migrants, well, it's a state problem, not just the Una-Sana Canton's," Emrić pointed out.
Now the budget goes to the House of Peoples of the BiH Parliament, and the session should be held by July 21.
The proposed budget for BiH institutions and BiH's international obligations for this year amounts to approximately 1.8 billion KM, of which 996 million KM is for financing BiH institutions, and the remainder is for financing BiH's debt.
