House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament to vote on loan for Tuzla's Block 7

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The continuation of the first regular session of the House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament will be held today starting at 1 PM. The session was interrupted on February 28, and the deputies will vote on the proposed decision on issuing a guarantee of the FBiH and giving prior consent for the loan of Elektroprivreda BiH with the Export-Import Bank of China for the Project of Construction of Block 7 450 MW Tuzla Thermal Power Plant.

The loan for the construction project of Tuzla's Block 7 is to amount to approximately 1.4 billion KM.

Ahead of today's session, JP Elektroprivreda BiH also issued a statement, emphasizing that this is a project of strategic interest for the FBiH and as such, has no alternative. On the other hand, the EU expresses concern over such projects due to their environmental impact, but also due to Chinese investments, which are interpreted as "illegal state aid".
