(Patria) - On Wednesday, February 8, 2023, at 12:00 PM, representatives of the Victims' Association from Bosnia and Herzegovina will gather in front of the BiH Court and Prosecutor's Office.
"The goal of our gathering is to send a message to the BiH Prosecutor's Office to stop recycling war crimes cases, that it is a shameful fact that even after 19 years we do not have a single indictment for the siege of Sarajevo, Goražde, Bihać..., cities where hundreds of innocent civilians were killed, but also the fact that these were UN protected zones.
We also want to point out the non-implementation of the Strategy for the Prosecution of War Crimes, especially Annex B, which contains the A list of the ICTY. It is equally shameful that in 19 years of work by the BiH Court and Prosecutor's Office, we have only one final verdict for genocide in Srebrenica," it was announced.
Otherwise, this gathering will take place before the trial known as the 'Dobrovoljačka' case, where the BiH Prosecutor's Office in this proceeding is proving that Alija Izetbegović was not captured, and that the convoy was not a legitimate military target!
We remind you that the indictment was written by the current Chief Prosecutor Milanko Kajganić, together with the acting prosecutor Milan Vukojičić.
A good part of the indictment is in ekavian dialect, which indicates the adoption of parts from Serbian institutions, but the BiH Court confirmed such an indictment, and later did not grant the defense's requests for the indictment to be written in the Bosnian language.
