
(Patria) - Director of the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies Enes Karić, along with his deputies Đuro Knežević and Goran Amidžić, received representatives of INL, the Bureau for International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs operating under the Government of the United States of America, led by Director Matan Meyer, for a working visit.
On this occasion, Director Enes Karić presented the responsibilities of the Directorate and its role in the security system of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the guests. He also highlighted the successfully implemented activities that marked the past period. Karić emphasized that the Directorate continuously improves its capacities to respond more adequately and successfully to all challenges.
Director Matan Meyer presented the scope of work and activities carried out by INL, which operates under the Government of the United States of America. He emphasized that INL's mission is to develop policies and manage assistance programs for partner countries with the aim of strengthening law enforcement agencies and institutional capacities for the rule of law, in order to more effectively combat international drug production and trafficking, international crime, and terrorism.
The interlocutors assessed that the cooperation so far has been very successful and at a high professional level. They also discussed areas and modalities of cooperation that could be realized in the coming period.
