BiH Presidency Demands Investigation and Accountability of Authorities for Attack on Vučić

The Presidency of BiH strongly condemns and expresses deep regret over today's attack on the President of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, at the Potočari Memorial Center, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria. 

The Presidency of BiH thanks Prime Minister Vučić for coming to Srebrenica, as he did so in a spirit of reconciliation and with the intention of paying tribute to the victims.

The Presidency of BiH demands that the competent police and judicial authorities at all levels urgently conduct a thorough investigation aimed at identifying the perpetrators of the attack.

The Presidency of BiH demands that the responsibility of the intelligence-security and police agencies of Bosnia and Herzegovina be examined and determined for any failures that led to the jeopardizing of Prime Minister Vučić's security.

The Presidency of BiH extends its apologies to all foreign delegations for the inconvenience experienced.

The Presidency of BiH is united in its stance to continue working with full dedication on accelerating the reconciliation process, restoring damaged trust, and improving relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia.

EU High Representative Federica Mogherini also condemned the attack on Vučić and called for an investigation by the competent authorities into the attack.
