President of Liberland: I am more popular than Obama and Putin

The president of the newest virtual state, Liberland, Vit Jedlička, organized a working lunch on Friday for journalists and newly admitted citizens from Serbia, America, Libya, and Syria, reports the Patria News Agency.

Economic experts from Belgrade were also present, investigating how much of a new promised land it is in the Balkans.

The new state is located between Serbia and Croatia, on the west bank of the Danube, in no man's land. It covers six square kilometers, and demographers have calculated that it could accommodate 200,000 people.

Leader Jedlička expects that wealthy people will show the greatest interest in citizenship, as he has promised there will be no taxes. He found inspiration in Monaco, Liechtenstein, and Hong Kong.

The system in the country will be organized according to 19th-century principles, and the main motto is: "Live and let others live.".

The president arrived at the lunch with the first lady and a banner that resembles neither the Croatian nor the Serbian flag.

- Citizenship applications are pouring in one after another. 300,000 people have applied, of whom 19,000 have correctly filled out the forms, Jedliček said, boasting that he is currently the most popular president in the world:

- I am more popular than Barack Obama and Vladimir Putin. Journalists are hounding me, so I haven't slept for several days. I have given more than two hundred interviews. I spoke with journalists from CNN and Russia Today. I refused the "Washington Post"!
