Detention Proposed for Ranko Davidović from Trebinje

(Patria) - The prosecutor of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Tuzla Canton has submitted a proposal to the Municipal Court in Gračanica for a one-month detention measure for Ranko Davidović (35) from Trebinje due to the existence of a well-founded suspicion that he committed the criminal offense of unauthorized production and trafficking of narcotic drugs.

The suspect did not stop the car he was using at checkpoints by police patrols in Doboj and Doboj Istok in the afternoon hours of 03/27/2024, and after these reports, members of the Gračanica Police Administration quickly located the suspect and the vehicle within the premises of a company in Gračanica. During the inspection of the vehicle, three cloth bags were found in the trunk, containing 70 packages with approximately 70 kilograms of the narcotic drug marijuana (Canabis sativa) prepared for further sale. During the search, which was carried out under the order of the acting prosecutor and with the order of the Municipal Court in Gračanica, a larger amount of money was seized from the suspect along with the aforementioned narcotic drug.

After criminal processing, investigators of the OKP PU Gračanica handed over Davidović, along with the report on the committed criminal offense and collected material evidence, to the jurisdiction of the Prosecutor's Office.

The acting prosecutor issued an order to conduct an investigation and questioned the suspect.

Necessary expert examinations have been carried out in the case, and other investigative actions are underway.
