Detention proposed for suspects arrested in Operation Bond

Following the questioning of the suspects, a proposal for detention will be submitted to the Court of BiH today for two suspects.

Detention will be proposed for suspects Adnan Aličić from Ključ and Darko Vuković from Banja Luka.

The mentioned suspects were arrested in an operation carried out on the order of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH, which relates to the prosecution of persons suspected of organized crime offenses in connection with the offenses of smuggling and illegal trade of excise products.

Police officers of SIPA carried out an operation in the wider areas of Ključ, Cazin, Zenica, and Banja Luka, during which they arrested the mentioned suspects.

Concurrently with the arrests, searches of four facilities used by the suspects were carried out.

The persons who are the subject of the investigation are suspected of having, for a longer period during 2017, procured cigarettes of a known brand and high market value in the territory of BiH, and then smuggled them and sold them in the territory of the Republic of Slovenia and Switzerland.

During the investigation, searches, and arrests, a larger quantity of cigarettes, evidence, and other items that can serve as evidence in further proceedings were seized.

The Prosecutor's Office of BiH continues an intensive investigation in this case.
