Detention proposed for those arrested in "Kruna" operation

After questioning the suspects, the prosecutor of the Special Department for Organized Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption will propose detention for three suspects.

Detention will be proposed due to the danger that the suspects might obstruct the investigation, conceal evidence, and influence witnesses or accomplices if released, as well as the danger that they might commit a new criminal offense or complete an ongoing one if released.

 The identity of the suspects will not be disclosed to protect the investigation.

Following the successfully conducted operation codenamed "Kruna", evidence material has been seized which will be used in the proceedings, and all suspects have been questioned, while the investigation is intensively continuing.

The operation codenamed "Kruna" is aimed at detecting and prosecuting perpetrators of organized crime and cybercrime offenses, related to the sale and use of personal data of BiH citizens, for the purpose of obtaining personal documents with real data, which were used by members of criminal groups in the countries of the region.

This operation is a decisive blow by law enforcement agencies to criminal groups that endanger citizens' personal data and the personal document system.

 Significant international cooperation with partner agencies in several countries of the region was achieved within the scope of the operation.
