Detention Proposed for Elvis Ćustendil, Suspected of Murdering 52-Year-Old Amra Kahrimanović

(Patria) - The acting prosecutor of the Tuzla Canton Prosecutor's Office has submitted a proposal to the preliminary proceedings judge of the Tuzla Cantonal Court for ordering detention for Elvis Ćustendil (51) from Tuzla.

The Tuzla Canton Prosecutor's Office stated that there are reasonable suspicions that Ćustendil, on February 7 in the evening hours, in a treacherous manner, committed the murder of fifty-two-year-old Amra Kahrimanović from Tuzla.

Ćustendil is suspected that, after the co-owner of the catering facility in the "Sjenjak" Shopping Center in Tuzla, Amra Kahrimanović, arrived around 9 PM to close the facility and exited the premises, he suddenly stood up, followed the victim, and in the hall of the shopping center from close range, using the service pistol of the Police Administration of the Tuzla Canton Ministry of Interior, where he was employed in the operations center, treacherously fired one shot into the victim's back.

After that, while the victim was lying on the floor, he fired another fifteen shots into various parts of her body and killed her.

The suspect was arrested shortly after the incident by members of the Support Unit of the Tuzla Canton Ministry of Interior in front of the building where he lives in Tuzla.

Members of the Criminal Police Sector conducted a criminal investigation, and along with a report on the committed criminal offense, the suspect was handed over to the jurisdiction of the Prosecutor's Office.

The acting prosecutor issued an order to conduct an investigation and questioned the suspect in the premises of the Prosecutor's Office.

The investigation is ongoing.
