Detention and prohibition measures proposed for two suspects in "Green" operation

After questioning the suspects, the acting prosecutor of the Special Department for Organized Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption sent a proposal to the Court of BiH for the determination of detention for suspect Z. Z. (1961), and a proposal for the determination of prohibition measures for suspect Z. I. (1987), both from the area of Bijeljina.

The operation codenamed “Green”, aimed at combating the unauthorized trafficking of narcotic drugs, was carried out by the Prosecutor's Office of BiH in cooperation with police officers of SIPA, and detentions and searches of two suspects were carried out in the area of Bijeljina. During the operation, a larger quantity of narcotic drugs was seized.

The detention measure for suspect Z. Z. is proposed for the reasons described in Article 132, points a), b), and c), namely due to the risk of flight, the risk that he could obstruct the investigation, conceal evidence, and influence witnesses or accomplices if at liberty, as well as the risk that he could commit a new criminal offense or complete an ongoing one if at liberty.

The proposed prohibition measures for suspect Z. I. relate to the prohibition of leaving his place of residence, prohibition of travel, and confiscation of travel documents.

Activities within the operation codenamed “Green” are continuing with the aim of identifying and prosecuting other suspects.
