(Patria) - The acting prosecutor of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office has proposed to the Cantonal Court in Sarajevo to order a one-month detention for suspect Nermin Demirović on charges of abuse of office or authority.
Spokesperson of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office Azra Bavčić explains that detention for Demirović was proposed due to the risk of flight, as well as the possibility that while at large he could influence witnesses, conceal evidence, and obstruct the investigation.
Let us recall, as part of the operation "Incitat", members of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) arrested Demirović yesterday, who had been unavailable to the prosecuting authorities.
In the same operation, the mayor of Trnovo municipality Ibro Berilo was arrested earlier, and he has been ordered into detention. Detention was also ordered for Nađa Milišić and Adis Mulaosmanović, while prohibition measures were imposed on Edina Džigal.
