Diego Arria's lecture at the Faculty of Criminalistics, Criminology and Security Studies of UNSA

(Patria) - On Tuesday, May 23, a public lecture will be held at the Faculty of Criminalistics, Criminology and Security Studies by Diego Arria, former Ambassador of Venezuela to the United Nations and President and member of the United Nations Security Council in the period 1992-1993.

Arria is the author of the book "The Slow Genocide in Bosnia", published in 2023, about which Bernard-Henri Levy states: "This is the first time such a testimony reaches us. The United Nations, as seen from the inside by one of its nonconformist actors, is unmasked, its compromises and failures revealed. And sometimes, as during the war in Bosnia and the siege of Sarajevo, a man of good intentions, a Don Quixote, a Picador, stops the machine and saves honor. I knew Arria then. I know how many owe him their lives."

As part of his visit to the University of Sarajevo, Ambassador Arria will hold a public lecture for students and academic staff of the Faculty of Criminalistics, Criminology and Security Studies, and will also give a statement to the media on this occasion.
