JUDICIARY AND POLITICAL PROJECTS Vidović: The judge who confirmed 'Dobrovoljačka' today ruled on Novalić

(Patria) - In the Court of BiH today, the Trial Panel, chaired by Branko Perić, delivered a verdict in the "Respirators" case. We remind you that Judge Perić specifically expressed a dissenting opinion on the conviction.

Fadil Novalić, Fahrudin Solak, and Fikret Hodžić were found guilty.

As explained by Perić, who expressed a dissenting opinion during the pronouncement of the verdict, Fadil Novalić was sentenced to four years, Fahrudin Solak to six years, and Fikret Hodžić to five years in prison. Hodžić's company "Srebrena malina", through which 100 respirators were procured, was also found guilty. "Srebrena malina" must pay a fine of 200,000 KM.

Vasvija Vidović clearly stated that this is a very serious situation.

"This is a political project. From the moment of arrest until today, Marinko Čavara, Čović, HNS have been making statements. Imagine HNS setting the tone and qualifying the event themselves, then Elmedin Konaković, Forto, and finally Nikšić. Then, as you could hear from the presiding judge, the US Embassy. It's regrettable and showed a terrible interest in the case ending this way. Time will tell why. I am concerned about the state of the judiciary," Vidović said.

She added that what was heard from the judge presenting the majority opinion does not fully align with what Perić read as the verdict.

"He suddenly included Asim, who was not even in the indictment. Regardless, the verdict is not final, and we will file an appeal," Vidović said.

She added that she is concerned about the state of the judiciary.

"The fact is that judges are coming here from the Municipal Court who have no experience in criminal proceedings. I want to say that this is the same judge who confirmed the indictment for Dobrovoljačka (Braco Stupar), after three decisions by international courts, after the Court in The Hague, the one in London, and Vienna," said Vidović.

When asked why Fadil Novalić did not attend the verdict pronouncement, she said he had urgent obligations, and parties are not obliged to attend the verdict pronouncement.
