Final verdicts of the Hague and the Court of BiH to be incorporated into the education system in BiH

(Patria) - Today's final life sentence verdict against Radovan Karadžić is important for Bosnia and Herzegovina and its future. Regardless of all the pain and injustice, as well as the fact that no verdict can be complete and cannot bring back the killed, and that it will be perceived differently in our country, this life sentence for war criminal Radovan Karadžić, as well as other verdicts of the Hague and the Court of BiH, are important for coming to terms with the past but also for future generations, according to the Independent Bloc.

"The life sentence will not bring absolute justice to the victims of Karadžić's crimes and genocide and their families, but it is nevertheless a historical fact. The verdict should be viewed as legal and historical evidence of what happened in Bosnia and Herzegovina during the nineties and a warning to all those who make role models out of Radovan Karadžić and other criminals, which is also confirmed by the act of terrorist Brenton Tarrant in New Zealand. Glorifying Karadžić and Mladić means glorifying Adolf Hitler or Adolf Eichmann – that is the essence of today's verdict."

Our society must turn to those who want an open democratic society based on civilizational values and not on a barbaric-criminal regime whose symbol and main protagonist is Radovan Karadžić. Therefore, today's and other verdicts of international and domestic courts should be incorporated into the education system in Bosnia and Herzegovina", the NB stated.
