Justice for Dženan: Next protests in front of the KS Prosecutor's Office, we won't leave until Burzić resigns!

15:00 Peaceful protests in Velika aleja have concluded. Dženan's father, Muriz Memić, demanded the resignation of Chief Cantonal Prosecutor Dalida Burzić. It was stated that if she does not resign, citizens will gather in front of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office Sarajevo next time and will not leave until Burzić resigns.

In addition, it was requested that the investigation be taken over by either the Federal Police Administration or SIPA.

- I publicly call on Dalida Burzić to deny me. She sent me in writing that my Dženan was murdered. I don't hate her, I just seek the truth. But the Cantonal MUP cannot bring the investigation to an end, said Muriz Memić, among other things.

14:15 The lawyer for the Memić family, Ifet Feraget, said that the state must conduct an effective investigation in this case, and that everything happening in connection with this case does not have a political background.

- Neither I nor Mr. Memić are involved in politics. We just want the truth to be established. The evidence we have shows that it was not a traffic accident, said Feraget.

14:00 Protesters have arrived at Velika aleja, the place where Dženan sustained severe injuries a year ago.

More than a thousand citizens gathered today at 13:00 in the plateau in front of the building of the Sarajevo municipality of Ilidža, peacefully protesting once again to demand the truth about the death of Dženan Memić.

A year ago today, the young man sustained severe injuries in Velika aleja, from which he died seven days later, writes Patria.

The procession, joined by Dženan's family members, friends, and citizens, including the mayor of Ilidža, Senaid Memić, headed towards Velika aleja. Citizens chanted: "Shame on you", "Who are you hiding", "Resignation, resignation", "Traitors"...

The protest "Truth and Justice for Dženan Memić" will begin at 14:00 at the place where the young man died on that fateful night.
