Justice for David marks three years of police repression at protests

SARAJevo, (Patria) - The informal citizens' group "Justice for David" is marking the third anniversary today at Banja Luka's Krajina Square of what they described as a brutal police action that, according to their invitation, marked the beginning of repression, persecution, and discrimination against the citizens of "Justice for David," as well as the Dragičević family itself.

Davor Dragičević, the father of the late David, addressed the attendees at Krajina Square on this occasion.

In three years, nothing has happened, said Davor Dragičević, asking where are the political representatives and non-governmental organizations today who supported the group's activities in search of justice in 2018. His expectations, he says, are directed towards the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Today marks three years since the unrest in the center of Banja Luka, which followed the police's "clearing" operation of Krajina Square of symbols placed by members of the "Justice for David" group.

Exactly three years ago, Davor Dragičević was arrested in the morning. Police and utility workers were sent to the square, removing all the group's symbols, and David's mother, Suzana Radanović, was also arrested. Clashes occurred between the gathered citizens and the police. There were injuries on both sides.

The citizens' association "Put pravde" (Path of Justice) has, in accordance with the law, reported today's gathering in Banja Luka to the competent police station.
