Renowned Iranian musician camps in front of key power plant as part of human chain to protect Iranian infrastructure

(Patria) - As the clock ticks towards Washington's ultimatum, Iran is activating its most emotional line of defense – its own citizens. Renowned Iranian musician and composer Ali Ghamsari has become a symbol of new resistance after announcing he is camping in front of one of the key power plants supplying electricity to half of Tehran.

His move is not an isolated incident, but part of a broader strategy by Iranian authorities calling for the formation of "human chains" around national infrastructure.

Iranian state television broadcast a call from Alireza Rahimi, secretary of the Supreme Council for Youth, addressed to athletes, artists, and students to gather around energy facilities. The goal is clear: to form human chains around what the authorities call "national assets and the capital of the future".

The call comes as a direct response to Donald Trump's announcement on the Truth Social platform, in which he threatened that Tuesday would become the "Day of Power Plants and Bridges" in Iran if the Strait of Hormuz was not opened.

Ali Ghamsari: "Let's keep the lights on"

Musician Ali Ghamsari, a virtuoso on the tar instrument, has set up a tent in front of one of the country's largest power plants, calling on international colleagues to join this initiative. His message transcends politics – he is appealing for the preservation of basic living conditions for Iranian families.

Iran has practiced this form of resistance, using civilians as a human shield around strategic facilities, in the past, particularly around nuclear facilities during previous crises. However, this time the mobilization is directed at civilian infrastructure on which the daily lives of millions of people depend.
