CALL TO ALL COLLEAGUES FOR HELP Margetić: I was attacked for the second time, I don't know what to do

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Last night at 2:05 I was attacked again. An unknown attacker came to my apartment, entered the locked building, and it was later determined by the police that the lock had been tampered with so that one could enter without a key and the chip required to unlock the door, meaning the door was prepared for the attacker to enter the building, writes Domagoj Margetić, a Croatian freelance journalist who has uncovered numerous scandals so far, in a Facebook post.

"At 2:05, an unknown attacker began violently pressing the handle of my apartment's front door. Then he slammed the door several times and shouted, 'I'll kill you!' And a few seconds later, he doused the front door of my apartment and the entire area in front of the apartment with feces and s***, so that the feces entered the entrance part of the apartment under the door," he adds.

As he says, the officers of the Fifth Police Station who initially came to the scene did nothing.

"That's why, in despair, tears, and fear, I ran out into the street and, in the presence of my friend, literally started screaming and wailing. I screamed, 'Citizens, I am a journalist. I have been attacked. The police will not protect me. Please help me!' All of my screaming and wailing was recorded because I was constantly on the line with the Operational Communications Center 192. After my screaming and wailing, criminal police officers arrived, and now I am on my way to the Police Station to file a criminal complaint and for the entire case to supposedly be processed. Dear colleagues, I feel terrified, panicked, frantic. My home has been attacked, my apartment has been attacked. This is yet another attack in a short time, and I simply cannot take it anymore. I invite you, as colleagues, to a press conference that I will hold, respecting all protective measures, meaning we keep our distance, in front of the Fifth Police Station in Zagreb, Bauerova 1, on Monday, April 13, 2020, at 11:00 AM. Please, colleagues, help me. I am scared, I am very scared and in total panic," writes on the Facebook account of Domagoj Margetić.

We remind you that journalists were also targets of attacks yesterday in Croatia. Specifically, female journalists from Dalmatinski portal and N1 were attacked while filming a "forbidden" mass in Split.
