Fire at transformer station, workers of Elektrodistribucija carry out repairs

Residents of Sarajevo in the city center were alarmed today by a fire that broke out around 2 p.m. when a transformer station caught fire, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria.

The fire department responded quickly, so no major material damage occurred, but part of the city center was without electricity for a time, reports Patria.

From the Public Enterprise Elektroprivreda, they informed that the entire area supplied by this transformer station was left without electricity.

-  Electrician teams have already been engaged, preparing equipment and materials to replace the burned parts of the transformer station. The streets Dženetića čikma, Mula Mustafe
Bašeskije, Štadlerova, and part of Petrakijina street were left without electricity supply. Since these are very extensive works, we ask our fellow citizens for patience, as the electrician teams will not withdraw until the repair of the transformer station is completed and
the electricity supply is normalized - stated from the Information Center of Elektrodistribucija Sarajevo.
