Fire at Škafa building: Firefighters on duty all night, 4 vehicles still on site this morning

The fire that broke out last night shortly after 11 PM almost completely destroyed the Škafa shopping center in Ilidža. All available fire trucks were engaged on the scene, but the reduced water pressure presented a significant problem.

Although the fire was localized shortly after 00:30 AM, firefighters were on duty all night, and there are still 4 vehicles and firefighters on site excavating the building. Fortunately, no firefighters were injured in the battle with the blaze, confirmed for Patria from the Sarajevo Fire Department.

Teams from the Federal Civil Protection Administration were also on the scene. Almost two hours after the fire broke out, firefighters managed to enter the building, but the fire had almost completely engulfed the center.
