Fire in a mined area of Trebević, lifeless body also spotted

(Patria) - Several teams of the Sarajevo Professional Firefighting Brigade are on the ground in Trebević where a fire has broken out. It is a mined area, which makes extinguishing difficult, but firefighters are on the scene. They were also extinguishing a fire at this location yesterday.

As Patria has learned, firefighters spotted a lifeless body in this area, but due to the danger of mine explosions, caution is still being exercised. The body is located in an area belonging to the RS entity. Members of the East Sarajevo Police Department are on the scene, and a demining team is awaited to recover the body.

The circumstances of how the fire started are still unknown, or whether the victim entered a minefield and thus caused an explosion. This will be determined by the investigation.
