Production Increase: Farmers in FBiH Produced Goods Worth Over 10 Million KM in March

Farmers from Bosnia and Herzegovina continue to record an increase in the production of agricultural products, writes the BiH news agency Patria.

The greatest contribution to the growing development of agriculture in the country has been the expansion of small family farms that grow organic food, which mostly ends up on the shelves of European countries.

According to data from the Federal Statistical Office, the total value of sales of agricultural products grown in the Federation of BiH, on the own estates of companies and agricultural cooperatives in March 2015, amounted to 10,538,379 KM, which is an increase of 844,900 KM or 8.72% compared to March 2014.

An increase was also recorded in the purchase of agricultural products. Thus, the total value of purchased agricultural products grown on family agricultural estates in March 2015 amounted to 10,154,075 KM, which is an increase of 741,577 KM or 7.88% compared to March 2014, reports NAP.
