American humanitarian Kayla Mueller, held hostage by the Islamic State organization in Syria, is dead, US President Barack Obama and her family announced.
Without specifying the circumstances of Kayla Mueller's death, Barack Obama stated that "the US will find and bring to justice the terrorists responsible for the capture and death of Kayla Mueller".
The young woman was abducted in Aleppo, in northern Syria, in August 2013. This 26-year-old humanitarian died in a coalition bombing of a position outside the city of Raqqa.
