Indictment Confirmed for Murder of the Ećimović Family

The Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina has confirmed an indictment against Milorad Radaković and Goran Pejić for crimes against humanity committed in the Prijedor area, BIRN reported, as carried by Patria.

According to the indictment, Radaković and Pejić killed five members of the Ećimović family in the settlement of Tukovi in June 1992. The victims were two women, a man, and two children, aged five and seven.

They are accused of sending a sinister message and threat to other civilian population by murdering the Ećimović family, participating in their persecution.

Radaković is charged as a member of the reserve unit of the Public Security Station, while Pejić is alleged to have been in an unidentified military or police formation.

The Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina confirmed the indictment on January 11.

The Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina submitted a proposal with the indictment to call 27 witnesses and experts, along with more than 70 pieces of material evidence.

Radaković and Pejić were arrested on June 17 this year, after which restrictive measures were imposed on Radaković.

The Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina has finally acquitted Radaković of charges of participating in the shooting of about 200 civilians at Korićanske Stijene, NAP reports.
